Hi,

I was wondering if anyone on here has any success stories after having 3 miscarriages in a row?

Hi @Hopeful543210 yes , I had four mcs in a row and had my rainbow last year in my forties. For me, it was likely immune issues which I received treatment for. Pm me if you would like more info
also if you look up @unicorn9 she has had success after loss
I know a few ladies on here and in RL having many mcs and then having a baby
im sorry for the pain you’re going through now and it’s hard to have hope but don’t give up
have you had all the mc tests done to rule out more common issues?

Hi @Hopeful543210
Firstly I’m so sorry you even have to post on mumsnet re recurrent miscarriages.

@Ziggazagga is correct. I had one miscarriage and then a DD in my late thirties but after that I had 6 miscarriages and then a DS. It was actually 5 miscarriages in 18 months (all naturally conceived) and then I tried Ivf. I had three euploid (normal) tested embryos. After the 5 miscarriages we transferred one and it didn’t even implant. I then fell naturally pregnant AGAIN! Miscarried and then tried 2 IVF transfers again, both failed. The month after the last failure I fell pregnant naturally again and it was a success. My DS was born a month ago and I am 43. If you have any questions let me know…

I read a book called “Coming to Term” by Jon Cohen. It is the best book I’ve read to be honest about recurrent miscarriage and immunes and I also managed my own treatment with my last pregnancy and ensured that my immunes were covered. PM me if I can help or if you have any questions…

Age is just a number. I had loads of consultants tell me to use a donor and to “keep trying and then give up” and who just didn’t believe in me and my body.

Hi everyone

thank you for all of your responses

my testing with the NHS all came back clear, i was in the middle of looking into going private when I found out I was pregnant again.. went for an early scan and saw the fetal pole and yolk sac which I hadn’t seen before In my previous pregnancies I’m praying it all goes in the right direction this time

@Notmyzoonotmymonkeys congratulations, how amazing!
Please can I ask who prescribed you your progesterone? I’ve requested a call back from my doctors hoping they’ll be able to help

@Hopeful543210
My doc was useless, I got mine from my recurrent miscarriages consultant, my doc stood strong and said they could not give me it it had to be a consultant. But hoping they give you it I know girls who have gone private to get it to if that's an option.

@Hopeful543210
I'm now 13+2 day pregnant so hoping this one is working out.

I’m having first FET in august after multiple losses so will be following along. Gives me so much hope. Thanks for that book recommendation @Unicorn9 I’ve just had immune tests and have already books by Dr Beer and Dr Regan so will be interested to read this!

@Ziggazagga HI, I am new to the thread and was reading up on the immune reasons you had for the miscarriage's. can i pm you? trying to figure out how to actually lol

Hello. I know this thread is old, but hoping some may still pick it up.
Any further positive stories anyone can share please? Especially of success past 40 after multiple miscarriages unaided by ivf.
4 pregnancies ended in miscarriage in 11 months between the age of 41.5 and 42.5. Last two losses were tested and confirmed chromosomes abnormalities. Other tests including immune issues, NKC assessment and DH sperm DNA fragmentation, revealed no other issues so put down to poor egg quality because of my age.
It was a this point we were lured in by the promising prospect of IVF with PGT-A testing to sift through abnormal embryos and ensure only euploids were transferred. EC was at 42.10 months, we created 5 blasts to test of which only one unfortunately was confirmed euploid and one tested inconclusive twice so currently on ice, but low grade so probably won’t ever use. Anyway, the transfer of our one euploid ended in a chemical so another miscarriage technically - the only reason for doing IVF being avoiding that!!!. We’re now pretty disillusioned by that route, but most importantly we absolutely have no funds left for more rounds for the foreseeable and I’m now 43.3 months so time is really ticking for me if the issue is egg quality.
I would love to hear some more positive stories please.

@Babyghirl and @MyEasterEggs how did it work out for you in the end if you don’t mind me sharing?
