Advice please ! Would you do FET if only 1 frozen embryo left ?

I am thinking of having a FET cycle but I only have 1 blast left ? I’m scared I’ll waste a cycle and my blast won’t survive thaw because I only have 1 ! Would you try FET and then fresh cycle or would you go straight to new fresh cycle ? Xx thanks for any advice !

Really depends on the quality of the one you have frozen - if it's a good one I'd do the FET first - if it's not a great grade I do another egg collection.

I only have one left. It's a top quality one, so we're going for a FET (it's the same grade as the one I miscarried in November). And I've had additions to my protocol, so want to try that before more ivf.

We will do further tests before doing another fresh cycle.

We only had one for our FET and it became our DD.

I'd do the FET. The thaw survival rate is very good, about 97% or something, but check your clinic's stats.
Do you plan more children in future? If so egg collection would be better done when you're as young as possible.

I am 30 years old , and I have 1 frozen blast , the reason why I don’t trust this blast to survive is because I had 5 in freezer and I lost 3 in one go trying to thaw them , so ended up with transferring 1 before and 1 left still . I don’t know why my blasts didn’t survive 3 in a row same time , maybe they make mistake or something , they were great quality before freeze .
but yeah I think I’ll go with FET still first and hope for best xxx

Gosh that's terrible! Did the clinic investigate it?

@Scottishgirl85 hey no they didn’t investigate , just bad luck they said xxx I don’t know but 2 were BB’s and 1 was AB quality so they were so good !
