PLEASE HELP-follicle size I feel stressed

Hi I hope someone can help me i feel very stressed and upset. I have started ivf short protocol I had my scan on day 10 (I am with nhs and they don't scan sooner).
2 follicles looked good one 16mm one 19mm, there was 5 at 14mm. Am just worried this is not enough, I have to take injection for 2 more days and scan again. Anyone experience this? Also I think I had some smaller ones but she never told me how many of what size. I feel upset because they don't explain things so well am glad my husband was there to explain it to me. I was hoping for more follicles.

I had a very similar outcome, they increased my dose for a couple of days then considered cancelling our cycle but in the end extended for a couple more days. We still only ended up with two good size eggs the rest were too small. No numbers issue on my baseline scan I just didn't respond well to the stims and had a dominant follicle.

They did discuss the option of cancelling the cycle with us, we chose to carry on for financial reasons we just couldn't pay for the medicines twice over. We've just tested positive from our one and only fertilised egg. Early days for us yet, but right now so relieved we carried on.

They might decide to keep you stimming a little longer a couple of days can make all the difference, I've seen a few posts where follicles catch up at the last minute.

I hope your next scan is a lot better, maybe write some questions to take in with you, do you have a chat with a nurse after each scan?

They told me I had 4-6 follicles that would be good for EC. The rest wouldn't catch up. I was devastated. On their advice I stimmed for another day then triggered.
At EC they retrieved 12 mature eggs, which resulted in 5 blasts! So don't give up hope. 🤍

Thats amazing news happy for you, we're you with nhs? From what my nurse was saying she only needs one more to get to 16mm, I know it is a low number. I've only had one scan on day 10, I just wish they explained things abit better. I was just wondering what the maximum days was for the injection. It will be day 12 when I go for next scan x

Oh wow that sounds really good. When you say 4-6 follicles were they above 16mm? x

4 were, and 2 of them were slightly smaller. I think about 14mm. The rest according to the sonographer were around 10mm and under! So no idea what happened. They either caught up fast or it just wasn't very accurate. So please try not to worry! And remember, it only takes one 😊

I did 5 rounds of ivf and any follicles 14mm and bigger on day of trigger yielded a mature egg so I'd say you have a decent number there especially as you have 2 more days of stims and some of the smaller ones might catch up x
