Really Struggling to lose weight!

I just don't know what's wrong with me!! I need to lose weight for IVF but I just can't seem to get a handle on it. If anything, I weigh more than when I started! Work pressures really have me stressed to the max at the moment and my age (39) makes me feel like all my time is running out. I need to lose 3 stone to get my BMI to 29 but it feels like a million miles away right now. This is all adding more and more stress, so that + work has me so miserable!!! Sorry for the ranting but there is nobody to rant to apart from my poor hubby who gets it all the time 😔

@ScattyNat83 Hi there! The best you can do is visit a nutritionist/dietician and understand your metabolism, bmi etc. Then, you should ask for a weekly diet and follow it to a t. This worked so well for me! I see its been a few months since you started this thread, hope things have gone smoothly for you!

Hi there,

Due to your age I wouldn't wait any longer and go private.

Having sad that I also have lots to loose. I've started doing keto in which you eat only 20-30 gr of carbs per day. Lots of free apps online to guide you. The first week is really hard but eventually you don't feel hungry. My specialist says that a low carb diet also helps egg quality.

It's not a miracle diet, I've been strict for 2 months and only lost 7 kilos but almost 2 dress sizes.

@Cherry35 I've been wondering about Keto and Dukan diets! What about ketosis? Have you experienced it or have any advice ?

I don't know about the Duncan diets. I'm doing dirty or lazy keto which means I only count carbs. You download the app and it gives you a recommendation on how many grams of carbs, fats and calories you should eat.

I don't check ketosis, apparently you don't need to be in ketosis to loose weight. You should buy a book about it. It's the easiest diet I've found, you can eat many things and just maintain the carbs goal.
