Hi
Does anyone know if GUYS accept NHS IVF from
Kent and Medway CCG?
I was referred to Barts hospital after waiting 6 months I today had my first appointment only to be told why have you been referred here we don’t cover your CCG - I’m crushed and back to the start.
If someone from Kent or Medway has had treatment at GUYS please can you let me know if this was smooth sailing?

I’m with Guys, I’m in SE London, and I’ve heard of people on an old Guys thread I’m on who have come from Essex, I think they must accept referrals from a wide area.

Oh really that’s handy to know thank you, I just really don’t want to be referred again and be told the funding isn’t covered due to the area

@TTC2022p could you call guys and ask? Their ACU reception has been helpful when I’ve made various enquiries in the past

@TTC2022p I have to say I can’t fault them so far. There was a few months of waiting to get to the start of IVF, but since we’ve started it all they’ve been very good. Getting there was a slog, fighting for referrals and spending months waiting only to be told you’re not eligible for funding (this was nonsense, we were) was awful, so I’m relieved Guys have been a decent clinic. I don’t know how I’d have coped with a bad one.

@thislittlebird sorry to hear that it sounds a very similar situation to mine! I was due to start next week and have been told the hospital I was under doesn’t fund my CCG, it’s a daily fight with emotions isn’t it!
