IVF worry

Hi ladies,

I have started my first round of IVF. We have a 3 year old conceived naturally but no luck with baby no 2. ( 2 MMC and 2 chemical pregnancies in the last year).

I am on day 9 of stims. I am taking 225 of gonal f from day 2 and cetrotide from day 4. I am probably being silly but I have zero effects of the meds which makes me think they aren’t working. I have a scan tomorrow to check the follicles but I feel like it’s going to be bad news.

Can anyone share their experiences on something similar?

I didn't have any side effects either. I was on menopur though. Although I only ended up with 3 eggs, one turned out to be my son so try not worry and see how it goes. If the follicles aren't growing like they should, they might up your dosage.

Thanks. So the scan went well. I have the below which I think is ok.

RO: 316mm,215mm,314,212mm and 2*10mm
LO:116 , 115mm,3 14mm and 112

I am waiting on a phone call on whether I get scanned again on Monday with egg collection on Wednesday, or forget the scan and trigger Sunday for egg collection on Tuesday.

This may sound stupid, but what happens to the bigger follicles if they wait for some smaller ones to grow?

I had some headaches but I suffer with those anyway- I got 8 eggs. Honestly if your not responding at the scan, they will up the meds x

@Hopefull1981 so they need three follicles to be at 18mm before they will release you to trigger, I had 3 at 18mm and triggered and got 8. If you go and there's 3 at 18 1 at 21 etc to one's that's too big won't be collected but honestly it sounds like yours went really well and at next scan they will tell you to trigger x

No more scans for me. They said to trigger tonight at 22.30. Fingers crossed they get some good eggs on Monday.

Hi ladies,

We got 20 eggs today out of 34 follicles. Now the dreaded wait to see if they develop to day 5 blasts.

Back in the clinic on Friday for a scan, potential for a fresh transfer if we are lucky to have any embabies.
