ivf transfer - do I turn away a visitor?

I am due to have egg collection this Friday (first cycle of Ivf ever) . I am sitting with 35 follicles right now and mildly uncomfortable, the consultant has said it might be a freeze all cycle due to my risk of OHSS but then again it might not be if I don't show any signs post egg collection.

my predicament is my dad randomly booked a flight to come and stay with us for a week, at the time I wasn't sure of dates.
So my EC is Friday - if I can do a fresh transfer it will be on Tuesday, the day he arrives!! I'm just worried I'm taking on too much or whether it would be a nice distraction? does anyone have any advice on this?

Confused

@BlueMumma2018 Does your Dad know about your IVF? I believe the transfer is a much quicker procedure than the egg collection and you can go about your day as normal afterwards, so maybe it would be a nice distraction? It may certainly help that TWW and keep you busy.

Wishing you lots of luck for your egg collection, I had mine today and it was a lot less traumatic than I built it up to be Smile xx

@Elle147 hi 😊 yes I have heard it’s like a smear test lol. I have thought that it would be a good distraction, because no doubt I would just sit around and panic. He does know about it yeah and he’s easy going. I might just have to say to him we’re getting a lot of takeaways 😂 oh wow that’s amazing! Thanks for the reassurance, I have been sooo scared about this! Xx

@BlueMumma2018 Ah yeah, I'd defo go ahead with him visiting, be such a lovely distraction! Great that he knows about it too. We have chosen not to tell anybody and it's soo difficult keeping it to ourselves!

Honestly I was in an utter panic this morning when I arrived at the clinic but I was put at ease straight away and I was over before I knew it! xx
