Hello,

After initial SA results we have 0% morphology. Motility good at 50%. Count a bit low at 10 mil.

It's taken the wind out of our sails as I just thought the issue would be me but I've come back normal.

I just wondered if anyone has any tips about improving morphology? Someone suggested wellman. We are both coming completely off the booze and are taking general supplements.

Is there any hope of natural conception? Or is ICSI outer realistic option?

Grateful for any experiences, positive or negative.

Xx

Hi my partner has poor everything. Dr recommended Proceive Max Men. We didn't find it made a real difference but the doses are pretty low. From advice I found here he has started additional CoQ10, L-Carnitine and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Have read a few different websites which give advice on supplements evewell fertility and fertility clinic San Diego. We haven't been back again to see if things have improved but we are going for ICSI at the end of next month. Hopefully someone else will come along with some advice of what worked for them

Hi, I read a post on here about 2 weeks ago, it was all about what the posters partner did to improve his semen quality. Unfortunately i can't remember the title but their is a very good thread somewhere on here.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

@try9ng thank you, I'll have a look at this. Hope all goes well with your ICSI!

@SantoPalo I'll do a deep dive and try to find it! Might be clinging on to false hope but willing to try anything at this point! Thanks for your help!

Hi @busybee345 my partner has very similar numbers to yours...

We have been referred to the fertility clinic and I spoke to the doctor this week. He said with his numbers, IVF with ICSI is 'most commonly' the route but he has been surprised over the years. They've now applied for the funding for us to get the ball rolling but in the meantime, my partner will take Proxeed Plus, Vital DHA amongst the other more 'normal' vits. He will do another SA at the beginning of April, but as the doc said, it's unlikely to shoot up. He is also booked in to see a urologist. This is privately tho. I'll let you know the outcome of the second SA. The clinic will definitely ask your partner to do another SA. It's a gutting result, I know how you feel - the only good this is that it isn't 'unexplained' and you'll probably be eligible to move forward quite soon. X

DH had 0% morphology but was OK in other areas, he was advised by the gp to take proxeed plus between tests to see if there was any improvement before being referred for icsi. I fell pregnant naturally 2 months later (after well over a year of nothing). Can't say for definite that's what helped as he quit his job and went self employed at the same time so it could have been the reduction in stress!

@FlyOnTheWall89 @MrFlibblesEyes

Thank you both for your responses. I agree, as much as we are totally gutted I do feel in way a sense of relief as we know what's wrong now.

We were just going to go private straight away but I think things might move a bit quicker on the NHS now that we have a diagnosis.

So lovely to hear of your pregnancy @MrFlibblesEyes, thank you for giving me some hope! Xx

How high was his count @MrFlibblesEyes ? Interestingly the doc didn't say much about the morphology, he was more concerned about the count. I've heard lots of stories Abi it low morphology but high count and people get their BFP, just takes longer x
