Anyone been prescribed Pergoveris?

Been prescribed this by my clinic, 450iu dose daily for 10 days.

Just gone to order from the pharmacy and they’ve quoted me £500+ per injection, which is over £5k for the 10 days on this one drug.

I’ve emailed the clinic to see what they would charge for the same drug, but thought I’d ask you lovely lot, whilst contemplating selling a kidney.

Sorry I'm sure you checked this already, but are you sure they haven't quoted you for a multi dose pen in error?

This is what I am trying to get to the bottom of. Just waiting on a reply from my clinic which I’m hoping provides some clarification.

I used it twice. One box of Pergoveris (900 IU + 450 IU) costs about 500€ without insurance contribution in Germany. It has both FSH and LH in it. So it is a combination of two hormones.

If I calculated it correctly, you need to get 5 pens for 10 days so it should cost around 2500€ (unless they charge £1000 per piece in the UK 👀)

My doses was 200 IU daily and injected it for 9 days. I responded very well to Pergoveris. I also heard that it was given to the people who doesn't respond well to other stims. So it supposed to be one of the best ones in the market. I hope you get pregnant this time so selling a kidney for a fertility drug worths it 🥲

My clinic have come back and you’re right it’s about £2.5k if they supply it which feels like a bargain in comparison to the original estimate. Glad you had a good experience with it.

I’m postponing harvesting my own organs for now.

Try Asda and The Fertility Medication centre as well.

Pergoveris was the most expensive drug I was on but definitely not £5k for 10 days.

Thank you. Bizarrely it’s Asda that is suggesting £516 per vial per day.

Check their calculations as Asda struggle with the 900/450 iu dosing. They tried to prescribe me twice as much the first time.

A year ago they were quoting £72 for the 150/75iu pen and from memory it broadly doubles/quadruples as you go up the dosing pens. Stork/Pharmacierge were a bit cheaper at £64.

Thanks - I’m going to go in there and see if I can speak to a different pharmacist. If the 900/450iu was a multi dose for two days weirdly the clinic is still cheaper.
