Hi, my follow up appointment before my second ICSI cycle is next week, and I was just looking for some advice on what questions I should ask, particularly around protocol..
My AMH is 34.1, my AFC 32, no issues with me so far but we have male factor, very low motility.
First time around I had the short protocol, with Rekovelle, cetrotide and Buserelin to trigger. I had 19 eggs collected, 10 were mature, 6 fertilised which resulted in 2 blasts frozen (freeze all cycle). First FET was a chemical pregnancy, second transfer was a miscarriage confirmed at 7w4d.
Now I'm going to ask about additional tests for me because of the two miscarriages however what I really want to push for is a slightly different protocol, I'm just concerned that of the 19 eggs that were collected only 10 were mature so already halved, also I had over 25 follicles so a huge drop off.. could this potentially be helped with a change of trigger or perhaps a double trigger? I think that the Rekovelle probably done its job given the number of follicles and eggs so don't think there needs to be a change with that?
My clinic is very process and science driven so rare for them to do anything outside the norm so I'll have a bit of a battle on my hands so really want to go to them like I sound like I know what I'm talking about!!
Any advice really appreciated.
