2nd failed transfer

Hello,

I had one cycle of IVF last year which resulted in one embryo. Had a fresh 3 day transfer which did implant but then didn't develop properly.

I then had another cycle in November last year which resulted in 6 embryos of average to good quality. Had to have a freeze all. I had a FET but just found out it didn't stick at all.

Should I look into PGS testing, transferring 2 next time, a different protocol/clinic? Or just put it down to bad luck and try again? I am 33 and have blocked tubes caused by my c section with now 5yr old.

The chance of success with an untested embryo is 1 in 3, I'm not sure about a day 3 embryo, that could be lower.

It sounds like the protocol you had more recently has resulted in a much better result than your first one.

Have you had any imaging like a hsg, saline scan or hysteroscopy. Given the c-section I would do that before another transfer.

Thanks @Gardenlady543. What could that possibly show?

Also is that the same as a HyCosy? I had one of those which determined my tubes were blocked but uterine cavity was normal.

The imaging is to look for scarring, adhesions and other structural issues that ultrasounds miss. I'm not sure about a HyCoSy, you could ask you specialist if they think any further imaging is needed.
