Day 7 of stims IVF and I can't feel anything!

Cycle day 9. Started drugs on day 3. I felt so bloated after I started with period pains and now I feel nothing. Maybe a bit gassy but not much. Scan yesterday showed only four follicles were a good size (out of 10 at my baseline scan) and I'm just imagining they've all stopped bothering. I don't have another scan and blood test until Thursday with egg collection pencilled in for Sunday.... If there's anything to get. All feels hopeless.

It's really difficult to know at this stage if this means anything I think. I know it's easier said than done but I'd try and hang in there until Thursday, you can ring your clinic if concerned but I don't think they would bring you in a day early. Symptoms during stims can be really variable xx

Hey, I didn’t have any symptoms while doing stims, when I did eventually have my first scan I mentioned to the nurse I was worried there would be nothing happening and she said most people don’t have symptoms while on stims. I had a good number of follicles responding at that scan so you should be fine x

I’m due for egg collection on Friday and all I’ve felt is a few twinges and one shooting pain on day 10. It really has been fine and there’s definitely follicles in there.

Thanks all. It's not fun, is it. I've done all the supplements, given up everything I enjoy, and feel like I have zero control over anything. My fertility isn't even the issue and all DP has to do is wank in a pot!

Three follicles looking an ok size. Left ovary simply can not be arsed it seems

Egg collection was this morning. They got five, but only three mature. Now the wait to see if any fertilise tomorrow, then if they do to see if any make it to day five.

@Ra12345 fingers crossed for you. It’s quite a tough bit of the process waiting for all these updates.

@Ra12345 ok so far. I have fairly high AMH, had 15 collected, 13 viable, 9 fertilised. It’s all such an unknown though, we could have one, three, five, or none left by Wednesday, who knows. Frustrating but will find out when we get there. Do you get a day 3 update?

I think I might have a touch of ohss at the moment, not loving that but trying to do my best to keep it at bay.

@thislittlebird I think getting 25% to day 5 is standard? So it sounds like you're in with a great shot!
Yes I get fertilisation news tomorrow, day 3 Thursday and day 5 Saturday. If by some miracle I have any of day 5 they want to freeze. My lining wasn't as thick as they'd like so want to concentrate on that for a cycle and hopefully have something defrosted to put back in if it gets better.

@Ra12345 yeah, probably standard but I’ve seen so many different and unpredictable outcomes that I’m trying not to have any expectations iykwim. it’s totally possible you will. Another ivfer on the jan/feb/March thread got three and hers are all doing great on day three. So you aren’t planning a fresh transfer?

@thislittlebird they've recommended I don't do fresh. My lining today was 5.5mm I think and they'd like to see 8mm. I've had two miscarriages (previous partners and first time trying) so while it's DP with the not so great sperm if we make it to day 5 I'm absolutely taking their advice. Some reading suggests it's also good to recover a bit from stims and a frozen one is as good as s fresh one.

@Ra12345 oh yeah it’s totally fine to do frozen. My clinic isn’t keen on me doing a freeze all, even though I’ve asked about it. I find it frustrating, I want to feel better than I do right now but they think it’s fine.

All three have fertilised. Now fingers crossed for you on Wednesday day 5 and me Thursday day 3!

I only had 5 eggs collected but all fertilised, had a top quality transferred, three more frozen, two of which are top quality. I was upset to only get 5 but it’s really not all about getting dozens of eggs.

@Ra12345 sorry, just seen the message here. It went ok, did a freeze all because I wasn’t feeling well. We have 3 good quality embryos frozen out of the 9 that fertilised, and two a day behind and we find out if they made it today, so I’m also waiting for a call! Have you had your call yet?

So they’ve now called to say another blast just made the cut! We have four frozen, I’m really pleased. They also said two more are hanging in there but probably won’t make it.

@Ra12345 I have never done this before so it’s a good question. Maybe there’s just a list they work through????

Who knows! All I know is I'm waiting for this call and three deliveries and a parcel pick up and I don't want to go to the loo even though I'm busting!
