IVF Treatment Side Effects

Hi all, for those of you ladies that are doing or have done IVF in the UK I'm curious as to when your side effects started, what they were and how bad?

I know they tell (warn) you about several side effects, but I'm interested in hearing real life experiences! Thanks ❤

@nova29 Good news! I've had a headache since yesterday which I think is due to this. What's your next step?

@IVFBaby2022 I also had a really bad headache all day yesterday and bloating last night. I have another scan tomorrow morning at 8.30. How you feeling emotionally?

@nova29 I've read that headaches are fairly common! I'm anxious but more because I'm worrying about whether I'm injecting right 😂. Oddly enough the closer I get to my scan the less excited or worried I am. I don't know if its because we've been trying so long and I'm just very wary, but I don't feel much either way. I think once my scan is over with I'll feel more, because I'll know whether I'm good to go on Wednesday or need more time! I think because I'm just left to my own devices wt the moment.

How are you? You're being monitored closely so I imagine that gives you some peace!

@IVFBaby2022 I'm ok I just feel like at least I'm actually doing something now instead of every month trying and it not working, for several years now too so yeah...the nurses have been amazing at the clinic I must say so that does help. Will you know on Monday more or less when egg collection will be?

I felt the same about the Cetrotide injection! Was wondering had my OH done it correctly as I was expecting a sting but didn't feel anything 😂

@nova29 Yeah I'll find out on Monday, I'll be back in on Wednesday definitely, either for egg collection or a progress scan.
I'm doing my own as he goes to work very early so I have noone to say does this look right, is that dissolved, does that air bubble matter etc 😂. The ice is a saviour isn't it!

I'm guessing you'll find out tomorrow morning will you??

@IVFBaby2022 so Monday is my last scan so I think I will know then and not tomorrow x
