Hi everyone, me and my partner have been ttc baby number 1 for 18 months and my partner finally got his SA results today after chasing for 3 days... we have to wait until Monday to speak to the GP but was wondering if anybody could make these results out in the meantime and give us an idea on what it means?!

48% Combined progressive motility
8% non progressive motility
44% immotile

Not sure whether this is good or bad, can't imagine it's the best if the gp wants to meet him on Monday to discuss etc...

Thank you in advance!! X

Hi @SunshineS1 - I think.... 48% move in a straight line or a big circle, 44% don't move at all and 8% move in tight circles. But I can't imagine that is the reason your doc would be concerned... 48% combined progressive motility I think is over the average - did they give you 'normal' range for each result ? X

Thank you so much.

They didn't, they've given us a copy of the results but honestly I've no idea what any of it means... they want to meet my partner on Monday to discuss so will get more answers then but it's been playing on my mind so couldn't wait until then haha!

We are still waiting for our referral to the fertility clinic, should hear something any day now really but gp's and hospitals are honestly a nightmare in my area. Always having to chase it up, they had his results sat there for 3 days yet every time we called about it "sorry we've not received them yet"...

Fingers crossed it happens soon!! X
