Hi all,

My husband and I were so lucky to get pregnant from our first ICSI cycle, the fresh transfer resulted in our gorgeous toddler. We have 3 Frosties and have decided that we want to try for a sibling and I’m just waiting for my next period to start before FET next month. The pre-cycle anxiety is kicking in and I’m wondering if anyone was lucky enough to have two successful transfers and pregnancies in a row? Smile

I have two sets of friends who had this, so definitely happens. Good luck Op!

Thanks @Shamoo, we were chatting this morning and my husband said he is more confident this time than last because we know it can work so I think we just have to go into in with a positive attitude (and some lucky socks!) x

We ended up with 2 blasts from our first round of ICSI. First FET resulted in our dc who is 2 and a half. We had our final embryo transferred at the end of August and much to our delight (and surprise) it worked and I am currently 25 weeks with baby number 2. I still struggle to believe it, to be honest. I never thought we could be that lucky! Best of luck to you!

That’s fabulous @windy2909, just the type of positive story I need to hear!

It's really possible! I've seen a lot of wonderful stories like that

Happycrocodile · 02/02/2022 10:19

@IsabelHerna 🤞

Yes, we had two embryos from our first cycle - one is our gorgeous DD and currently 26 weeks pregnant with the second. I'm in my 40s with rubbish AMH and FSH and I realise we are very lucky.

Happycrocodile · 02/02/2022 20:21

Everyone of these stories is helping me think it’s not a complete impossibility! Thank you @SerendipitySunshine!

How are you getting on @Happycrocodile ?
I just came across this thread. My DS (21 months) is from a fresh transfer from our 1st icsi, we had no frosties. We have decided to try for another so going for another icsi, we're all set to go but waiting until August so I can just enjoy our big holiday in July. I'm 33 so hoping we will still have good chances!

Happycrocodile · 29/04/2022 13:28

Hi @FairWindClearSailing well we started a frozen cycle in Feb, all pre transfer signs were good, perfect lining etc. I went for my transfer and they couldn’t get the embryo in. I had a small procedure on my cervix last year and this has resulted in scarring and adhesions which (even after 2 hours of being arse up, legs open and having a very full bladder) they just couldn’t get past. Crushing. So we were advised that I would need a procedure to fix that before trying again. The clinic have been exceptionally unhelpful and I’ve ended up going back to the NHS consultant who did the last procedure to ask to get this rectified. Once I’ve had another op then we will try again. He was hopeful we wouldn’t have to wait too long but I haven’t heard yet.

definitely have an awesome holiday before starting again, we went away over Easter and actually it was great, if the transfer had gone ahead as planned and worked we would still be 1st trimester which would have come with many stresses!

I was 33 when we had our fresh ICSI 😊

Thanks for getting back @Happycrocodile Sorry to hear about the difficulties you've been facing, that must be very frustrating. I hope you can get it sorted as soon as possible!

Definitely going to wait until my July / August cycle. We're away for a month so I want to enjoy every minute then come back to icsi feeling refreshed 🙂

Bloody love the NHS, I’ve got an op booked in 2 1/2 weeks time 😊 I think that’s faster than the private consultant was going to get to me!
