Just wondering if anyone has had experience of this and how they dealt with things going forward in future cycles?
I have had one cycle at a clinic where I had 4 follicles flushes and no eggs retrieved.. various issues encountered at this clinic including starting EC 30 mins late so think all of this may have played a role.
Moved clinics and cycle 1 there they did blood tests and essentially determined my LH was rising and I was at risk of premature ovulation, despite taking cetrotide of course to stop this (I have DOR and they think that it is to do with my body trying hard to produce eggs/release them etc). They doubled up cetrotide so I was taking 2 a day and added in Indomecatin tablets also to try to prevent the follicles rupturing. Scanned before the EC started and the 4 follicles were intact. 3 eggs collected and 2 mature.
Cycle 2 with this clinic and same issues with bloods/premature ovulation appearing. 2 decent sized follicles and 1 smaller one. They doubled up cetrotide and added in indomecatin again as before. Scan before EC this time showed one follicle on left ovary looking as if I had ovulated though :( They weren't sure (presumably very recent ovulation as I had scan on Wed which was fine then EC Fri morning when it showed this and it wasn't clearly a corpus luteum but just not clearly dark as usual and a bit greyer etc - they do believe it ovulated). I decided to go ahead anyway and fortunately the other large follicle had a mature egg.
Just wondering if anyone has experience of this and what can be done in future to try to stop this? Obviously it's a balancing act between not wanting to ovulate before EC and lose those eggs, against going too early and only getting an immature egg anyway!!
TIA
