Back pain?

Hi ladies

I am on my 3rd ICSI cycle, just finished Norethisterone a day ago and am down regging on Buserelin. I have used both of these drugs before without issue.

I have had bad back pain (lower left side) since Wednesday morning. It is much much worse at night, to the point I can't sleep, it hurts to move and I can feel it no matter how I lay. When I get up, I can barely move and even a tiny movement causes pain. I had to get my other half to put my socks on me this morning because I couldn't bend or get my left leg close enough to me without it hurting a lot. The pain seems to wear off during the day and I'm a lot more mobile but it's still there, just not as bad.

I was wondering if anybody had experienced similar on those drugs, or whether it is something else entirely. I know there are lots of weird and wonderful side effects during IVF so thought I'd ask! I've had a kidney infection before and I don't think it's that as the pain isn't in my side and reseeds during the day. I haven't lifted anything heavy either.

Really worried it's something that's now going to mess up this cycle.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi @Goldilocks2528 I didn't want to read and run. I had a FET cycle in November and am just in the middle of my second. I had a successful cycle in 2019 and couldn't recall feeling uncomfortable however on the last cycle and this one I'm feeling a bit achey. I mentioned it to my clinic as the only way I can describe it is for example if I were to cough, I get a sort of stitch. And the backache is there when I wake up but then goes away. I've noticed this cycle it isn't as bad as last time and now I'm on my estrogen patches it seems to have settled. The clinic were unsure what this was but said if it were to persist to let them know. A bit of background from me, I have severe endo and both tubes removed and the pain/stitch feeling is around where my incisions were and I'm putting it down to possible flaring from all the lovely meds. I hope it's subsided for you or continues to x

Hi @Bluemeadowbaby
Thanks so much for your reply. I've been in so much pain that I ended up in the minor injury unit (I must have been in a lot of pain, I avoid anything medical like the plague!). I'm now on strong antibiotics, so hopefully that will help!
