Thyroid results (and ivf)

Has anyone had experience of thyroid test results being ok/in normal range and then changing to be out of range during the course of your fertility treatment/ttc journey?

Sorry if it’s an odd question, I just don’t know a lot about thyroid things and I’m not sure how changeable results could be over time so thought I’d ask.

They can vary quite a bit in my experience. I’ve had a TSH of 1.5 and then a few months later 3. I’ve heard it said that you get the worst results early in the morning and the best in the afternoon. This has definitely been true for me, although there are doctors who will tell you it makes no difference.

Can you discuss it with your clinic? I’m sure they’d be happy to re-test if you ask them and then to prescribe if needed. Most clinics want TSH to be under 2.5.

@thislittlebird Hi! I had 1.6 in November 2020. I also tested every two years before and it was 1.6-1.8 always.
However, in March 2021, I got 3.28 just before the ICSI started so I got L-thyroxine to lower it down.
I am now very stable on 50mg. I got tested 1.8 in every test in the last couple of months. I started my second ICSI in Dec 2022. On the CD6 got tested again and it was 3.1. Doctor said before testing that it will be higher due to stims and I shouldn't be worried. I had OHSS in Dec, so I am going to do natural FET this cycle. I got tested again on Jan 2022. It went back to 1.8... So basically it is normal to fluctuate during stims.
May I ask how high is yours usually?
