Hysteroscopy Polyps/Fibroids removal before IVF?

Hi

I wonder if anyone here had same experience as me - due to start IVT next month but the ultrasound showed potential polyps/SM fibroids - 3 very small ones measuring 1CM each so now waiting for a hysteroscopy next week to remove before postponing treatment to next cycle. I was told that sometimes if they turn out to be multiple fibroids I could need 2 ops which delay the treatment even further. Anyone else had multiple fibroids removed same session before IVF?

Thanks

I developed a polyp as a result of IVF stims - the hormones can cause them as they feed off all the oestrogen. Not an issue for egg retrieval they said. I wasn’t doing a fresh transfer and I was told the polyp should be removed before any transfer as it could affect implantation. Thankfully it fell out by itself anyhow…

Hi @Phrenologistsfinger I was been told exactly the same today on my scan during IVF stimulation that I developed a polyp. Are you saying that yours disappeared by itself and when did it disappear? I will proceed with the egg collection but we will do freeze all cycle which will result in overall cost increase but what can we do 🙄
have you had success after the polyp? I am trying to figure out whether AXA will cover the removal if necessary.
will be good to hear your tips. Thank you!

@K8dferXdder My polyp literally fell out just after I ovulated, a month or so after my IVF stims cycle. It was a bit painful as it passed through my cervix! Slightly shocking to find it in my underwear. happens but is quite rare so you are most likely to have polypectomy surgery to remove it or sometimes they can be reabsorbed into the lining.

No success yet - we are several stims rounds done - embryo banking and genetic testing but struggle to get any normal ones at all (shitty eggs).
