Lister Chelsea or Portland

Morning all, I’m looking to change clinics, likely to the Lister and wondered if anyone had a good or bad experience with either their primary clinic in Chelsea bridge or their satellite at The Portland? Any consultant recommendations / Drs to avoid?

I was treated by the Lister last year. Only saw the consultant a couple of times (I had quite a simple case), was mostly sonographers and nurses who were all pretty good. Nice comfortable facilities when in for egg collection. Good at comms - they call back quickly if you email - which I think is important when you're anxiously waiting.

Result of treatment is currently sleeping in his cot next to me.

We were with Lister and will go to them again when we try for number two. Some of the stuff is only done out of Chelsea in my experience, so I would just go there. Used the satellites in Elstree and Shard for scans which was fine, but wouldn’t want to use them more as opening hours are inconsistent etc.

Would recommend James Nicopolos for your consultant - he was excellent, and always replied to emails etc so whilst we didn’t always see him I felt we had a good connection with him.

@teascout aw congrats on your little one. Thanks for replying. It’s hard to tell what a place is like in Covid times as everything is virtual until you turn up for an appointment. I contacted them today though and they swiftly responded which is usually a good sign. The admin team really contribute to a good / bad experience!

@Shamoo thanks for the suggestion. I’ve managed to get an initial consultation in with him in a couple of weeks so fingercross I click with him! I think you’re right, if you’ve got to go for main appointments at Chelsea may as well just do them all there.
