FSH and AFC

Hi everyone. Does anyone know the connection between FSH and AFC? My FSH is on the high side of the normal range at 9.6. I had my first scan at the fertility clinic last week and I was expecting a low antral follicle count but I had 8 on one ovary, a dominant one and I didn’t catch how many other follicles on the second ovary but basically they said everything looked formal and fine. Does anyone know the connection between FSH and AFC? Haven’t had AMH tested as I was told unless we go down the IVF route it’s not that useful and I didn’t want any further information that was going to cause me to worry

My day 3 FSH recently was 11.8, but my AFC is 28 (very high). I had it checked again the next month and it was 8.1. So I think unless it's consistently high with a low AFC, it doesn't mean much.

Thanks. How old are you? I’m guessing mine was about 16 overall and I’m 35.

Still not pregnant though and been TTC for 10 months. I already have two children who were conceived quickly and easily x

@Hoping43 yep, been having treatment for over a year. I had a collection cycle in November 2020. 12 eggs were collected, we got 9 x day 5 blasts, had 4 transfers with no implantation. Embryos look good though we PGT-A tested 6 of them, 5 were euploid.

@Gardenlady543 have they been able to tell you why?

I hope it doesn’t come to it for us. We have two so just don’t know if we could justify the expense and stress although I desperately want another x
