I thought about carrying on the old thread but as is 8 pages long now... link here
Background is: DP has a varicocele which has resulted in 3 years and 4 months of infertility. SA revealed a 1m count.
He had an embolism in summer 2019, but he was one of the ✨ unlucky✨ 10% who develop another one. We were on waiting lists, bought a house, then Covid hit. Finally in October 2021 he had another surgery. We were told to put TTC on hold for 3 months due to the radiation exposure. After 2 months he had sharp pain as though it was returning. However, it now "cones and goes" and doesn't seem to have reversed.
Among this mess we bought a microscope as SA appointments were expensive and hard to come by. The samples have gone from having to look around to find one or two swimmers, to a small hive of activity. It's still definitely a low count, but I'm confident we are at a much better place than just 1m!
He has a follow up appointment with the urologist coming up and will do an official SA, but for now it's looking good.
Just thought I'd share as this is my first ray of hope in a very long, dark, and depressing 3 years. I was 26 when we started TTC and this year I will turn 30.
