IVF after 4 failed IUIs

We have just gotten our BFP finally after 4 failed IUIs. Initially we were at create Birmingham but they failed to tell us they hadn’t tested my wife’s AMH level at the beginning and continued to let us do 4 rounds of IUI when it was pointless as her AMH was so low!

Thousands of pounds later we have moved to another clinic and had our first round of IVF.

We tested New Year’s Day and got a BFP straight away dark red lines!

Still in shock and hopefully for a smooth pregnancy!

We are a same sex couple and had a FET on The 20th December 2021.

@skcebcm Hey! We're also a same sex couple. Also had 4 failed IUIs (though clinci did test my AMH). We moved to IVF, had 1 failed fresh transfer, 1 CP and now fingers crossed pregnant after FET on the 21st Dec :)

Wow that’s amazing! Fingers crossed for you both! We are booking in for our early scan tomorrow when the clinic re opens! All very scary and exciting at the same time at the minute 🙈

The lines came up really dark straight away and Iv read that’s a sign it could be twins eek

@skcebcm I'm also waiting for clinic to reopen tomorrow to get booked in for viabiltiy scan. I would love them to do the blood test as well for reassurance. I feel so hesistant to get hopes up that this might actually end in a live birth given we started this journey 2 years ago.

Did you have a double transfer? There is such huge variability when you're looking for such a small amount of hcg for OTD its really too early I would say to be able to say about twins unless you know you put 2 back in!

Yeah your right we only got one put back in so unlikely really!

My wife has ordered a blood test off Amazon she is doing tomorrow when it arrives! I’ll ask her and see what it’s called! We won’t have a scan for another 2 weeks yet.

What clinic are you using?

Ah, I might do that if I clinic won't do it. My clinic normally does the blood test as standard but as they were closed over Christmas we got told to POAS instead. I'm with GCRM, what about you?

And you never know about twins I guess!
