Period after IVF

We had a failed cycle in November and I bled a couple of days after stopping meds. My period was due Monday based on my normal cycle pre IVF but hasn't arrived. Is it normal for you first cycle to be late?

Late or early is normal, yes. My post-transfer cycle was just 25 days (I'm usually a reliable 30 days). Think a longer cycle is more common though. All those hormones playing havoc!

@try9ng Yup! My cycle following fresh transfer was over 40 days long

Thanks for replies, could be a bit of a wait then. It's so silly still hope every month to fall pregnant naturally even though I know it's not going to happen

I had a ‘normal’ period a few days after EC (no transfer). However my second one is yet to make an appearance. Had a few days of mild spotting and period cramps on the days my period was due then nothing. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to take that as my period or not? I’ve never missed a period in my life and I’m usually on time. They are usually not particularly light either. Must admit I’m feeling slightly concerned the drugs/EC did something. Is a missing or ‘barely there’ second period something that is common post EC or transfer? This is my first rodeo so to speak. N/b there’s no chance im pregnant btw

My second period after EC came after 36 days and I am usually regular. It is very common though with the hormones.

@Yuliaaa Thanks, seems like the clinics forget to mention this might be an issue. I am slightly concerned that the few days of spotting where my period was meant to be means that my period isn’t late, and I’ve just missed a ‘proper’ period out entirely. Have bought some ovulation sticks to try and figure out if/when I’m ovulating with my cycle all over the place

I did a superdrug own brand test just there and I think I can see the faintest pink line. It showed up about the 5 min mark, could it be an evap line? We got a line during our IVF cycle with clearblue but I think it must have been an evap as never got another one

Just had a failed fresh transfer. My period started 9dpd5t. So today is like day 5 of my period which seems to have stopped, just very light spotting. Calling the clinic tomorrow to talk about next FET.

My awol 2nd period finally made an appearance a week late.

Did people find that their subsequent periods were ‘reset’ into new cycles after the late second one or did they go back to where they should be? Will be starting stims with the next cycle so trying to get an idea of when to expect to start

@BlueSilver23 September cycle after EC was 36, the next cycle in October we did FET which was BFN so period came after stopping progesterone on day 34. Next cycle in November was 24 days. During this cycle I did mild stims for lining issues but we cancelled the transfer. December cycle was 29. I honestly don't know what happened to my cycles. I did EC last year and it didn't give me so much trouble. I think it's a combination of medication, stress and Covid. I am still struggling with recovering from Covid that I had this March. I am 38, but my hormones level are ok and I am not approaching perimenopause.
Hopefully that won't be your case!

I've bought a Frer but I'm probably just fooling myself that a miracle could happen. Thanks for telling us you experiences. Sorry for failed transfer @justhopeful. Hopefully your cycle settles @bluesilver23
