I've always done a fresh transfer. How long roughly does it take?
Do you start taking meds on CD1 then scan then transfer around 14?

We have 2 frosties, could we potentially burn through them in a couple of months?

Thanks ladies.

Hi -it depends if you have to downreg -with down reg-you start taking something like norethisterone on day 14 -25-then await a bleed which takes about 3 days or so. Then once you have had your lining scan (to check it is thin enough to start meds to thicken it up) about day 1-4 of your bleed then you start the oestrogen-you will typically transfer around about day 19 of that cycle-ish -depending on lining etc. It is quite a long process. I think if you don’t have to downreg and do a natural cycle then it’s much quicker! But you need to be regular for that and I need most clinics favour the medicalised. Good luck -I remember you from some threads -hope you are ok.

@AliceAbsolum If you're doing a medicated FET, you'll start estradiol between CD1 and CD3 (which you will take every day until ~13 weeks). First 7 days I also am on Fyremedal injections. You'll then get a lining scan around day 10 of estradiol, and repeat scans if needed. Once your lining is thick enough you'll start progesterone. If you're doing a day 5 blast transfer you'll do 5 days of progesterone, transferring on day 6 of taking progesterone. Then just keep taking your progesterone and estradiol until OTD.

My clinic you need to have at least 1 natural cycle between FETs.

Hope this helps

Hi there,

It depends on whether is natural or medicated cycle. If natural then it follows your cycle and the FET happens 3 or 5 DPO (depends if you have a day 3 or day 5 embryo).
If medicated without downreg you start estrogen tablets around day 2 or 3 and continue till you reach the proper lining thickness and then start progesterone. It can take more days than on a natural cycle. Good luck! 🍀

Thanks all.
It will be a medicated cycle, helpful to be able to roughly plan.
