Chelsea westminster nhs IVF waiting list?

i've got my initial consultation with Chelsea Westminster (NHS) for IVF on January 13th. Me and my partner have had all of our tests. After my initial consultation, I need to book my nurse's consultation and then apparently the nurse's will tell me when they can squeeze me in. Although apparently the waiting list isn't long and so generally should be able to start quite quickly. I'd really love to start January 26th.

Am I right in thinking that even if I get a nurse's consultation a week later (January 20th) it is totally unlikely that they'd be able to turn things around so quickly and get me started with IVF 6 days later? What have people's experience been of waiting times at Chelsea Westminster? Also nervous about Omicron ruining everything and causing delays! So tempted to just go private with ABC and guarantee start date of end Jan... Am struggling to make a decision so any help with this would be great :)

Hi there, didn't want to read and run, unfortunately, I don't have experience with your clinic, 6 days seem too quickly, fingers crossed that you get started as soon as possible, waiting is mentally exhausting.

@friendlyBadger I'm not under that clinic but when I had my nurses consultation for my 1st cycle I started my meds exactly 1 week & on my 2nd cycle I started them about 10 days after so depends on what availability you have & where you are on your cycle I guess.

Hi I was referred by gp in April 21. Had my first consultation with fertility consultant in June. I already had a full blood test and pelvic and transvaginal scan before I was referred. I had to repeat my 21 progesterone test. In September I had hsg and now I’m on clomid. I have another appt with fertility consultant I think to discuss ivf. Does anyone know what happens on that appt and would I roughly start to have ivf
