Any insight or experience gratefully received...

I'll keep this really brief... My short protocol ivf was cancelled on CD 7 after 5 days of Pergoveris due to lack of response. This was on 26th November and I was literally just finishing my period when it was cancelled. I was on NO other medication at all... Basically a short natural modified. On the scan, I had at least 8 follicles but only one growing at the correct rate. I got my usual signs of ovulation from CD 10 to 14 so DTD. On 7, 8 and 9 DPO I got poke type cramping, some pokes either side, pressure and stitch type feelings... I don't get AF pain anymore but assumed she must be coming early but no show. 11 DPO I had a very metallic mouth in the morning and on 13 DPO more cramps. I've had lower back cramps, frequent wees throughout with a clear shiny discharge in small amounts. I dared to think we could have actually conceived naturally as I am now 3 days late for AF which I never am (26/27 day cycles). I have tested on One Step internet cheap strips only as I have loads but all say BFN at the moment.
I thought maybe the early medication may have affected this cycle... But as there was FSH only, no down reg or anything, it shouldn't affect? Especially as ovulation was as normal? My OH wants to wait until next week and then buy a branded test if no AF.
I would love any advice or experience as I'm really anxious! Thanks x

My second IVF round messed up my cycles very badly. Since then my cycles have varied from 26 to 31 days. I have always been regular (27-28 days). Last month I tried a mild stimulation due to thin lining that had to be abandoned and AF came on day 24. I think it's because of all the hormones.
I think you should repeat the test next week. Is there any chance to have a private hcg test done to put your mind at ease?

Thanks @Yuliaaa... What meds were u taking that confused ur cycle? I've done a long protocol before and I can understand that causing issues due to the birth control pill, down reg etc... But I only took fsh and my ovulation was seemingly normal. Oh well, guess I just need to wait and see, I just know that the longer AF doesn't arrive the more hope is building for us which is highly likely a waste of time xx

1.Egg collection: Menopur, puregon, orgalutran and triggered with Diphereline. It was a freeze all cycle and I continued Diphereline for 5 days after EC so AF came immediately after I stopped the shots. Next cycle was 36 or 37 days!!

1. Mild stimulation for FET: Menopur for 10 days. Cycle abandoned due to cyst and fluid, AF came on day 24.

You are so right about hope! I find it toxic! This month for example I was almost sure I got pregnant. Ovulation spot on (around day 14), cramps on 8 and 9DPO (I thought they were implantation cramps). I tested yesterday on day 26 and it was a BFN. I am fed up with all the hopes and disappointment that comes right after. Unfortunately the waiting is killing us! Big hugs!
