Very faint line at 8dp5dfet - any hope?

I transferred our frozen 4bb embryo 8 days ago and tested this afternoon with a FRER (not FMU and after 1 hour hold). I thought at 8dp5dt it would be clear if it had worked or not (I have a son from a fresh transfer and test at 9dp5dt was a blazing positive). Instead I got a very faint line, a squinter! Is there any hope? Surely it should be a clear line by now? OTD is 4 days away, any positive stories?

Thank you, I really hope so. I took two less sensitive tests tonight and they’re both negative, I just can’t stop crying but there’s still a tiny part of me holding out for some kind of Christmas miracle xx

My first positive with my 17-month-old was 8dp5dt in the evening. It was a squinter but it wasn't a frer. He was obviously a late implanter but the 1 hour hold might be the issue here. Test tomorrow. I hope your line is darker 🤞
