3BC 5day embryo

Hi all,

Today, I had a 5day embryo graded 3BC- so poor quality- transferred. Just wanted to see if anyone had any success with transferring poorer embryos? I'm feeling very discouraged if I'm honest right now.

@Prayingforabubba, I had the same grade embryo transferred last month & felt the same & even said to the embryologist it wasn't good quality but she said it's a grade of a B so don't think negative & how they wouldn't transfer if they didn't think it has the potential to develop into a pregnancy. Unfortunately BFN for us. Best of luck 🤞

@Prayingforabubba I was like you with looking for stories of success & found a few online so just because it doesn't work for 1 doesn't mean it won't for you 😊

Hi, we had a 5CA and 3BB double embryo transfer and have 6 month old twins. They said to transfer two as they weren’t top quality and odds were low/ unlikely to both stick. 5 out of 6 of our better graded embryos were unsuccessful. Sometimes you just can’t tell with the gradings. I spent ages looking online for success stories and feeling despondent. Good luck with your 2WW. X

@Prayingforabubba - also just remembered I cycled around the same time as someone who had a BFP with a 2CC embryo 😊

There are plenty of stories where lower grade embryos have resulted in a successful pregnancy. I honestly don't know why some clinics place so much focus on embryo quality. Try not to worry, they wouldn't have transferred it if there wasn't a possibility of implantation. Our ungradeable day 5 embryo is currently asleep next to me 👍

@IE00 so sorry it’s taken so long to reply, I didn’t realise there was a notification. My 3BC bubba stuck however I am having an extremely high risk pregnancy which could be unrelated to embryo grading c

Hello @Prayingforabubba sorry to hear you are high risk. I very much doubt it had to do with the embryo.

To all others, I got a BFP and was discharged by my clinic. Thanks to all those who reassured.
