Does anyone have any experience of any IVF clinics in Turkey?

Hi @Natw22,
My cousin got finally pregnant at the age 40 after so many failed transfers in other clinics. The successful cycle was done by Prof. Dr. Erol Tavmergen. He is in Izmir though and he has his own clinic.
I had an online consultation with another doctor
(Assistant Prof. Dr. Yasemin Çekmez) in Istanbul after my first ICSI in Germany failed. I think it cost me around 50€. I gave her all my protocol info beforehand. We compared my protocol to what she would have done for half an hour. She seems quite successful especially in PCOS patients. From what I have seen, doctors in Turkey follow a more "liberal" and a bit more aggressive protocol. Kind of similar to the clinics in the US. E.g. she told me she would double up my stims and follow a shorter protocol.
Turkey is really cheap for Europeans right now due to conversion rate. I did a really extensive coagulation test and paid 800€, which would have been around 4000€ in Germany.
Do you have any friends there? Many big hospitals offer assistance in English but I am afraid it would be hard to get around in the city in general without a native speaker.
Feel free to DM me if you need any help with the research 😊 Wish you best of luck 🍀

@Natw22 I am currently in Turkey, my egg retrieval is on monday. Im with Jinepol & I can not recommend them enough, they have youtube vids, other people who have used them uploaded their journeys on tiktok, excellent reviews online.
I started the stims in UK & came out here for retrieval & implant to save on days out out here & costs. The medicine was £450 and delivered in 1 day! compared to thousands of pounds in UK.
Dr Selim is the such an amazing doctor. His so kind, understanding & most of all honest, he doesnt want you wasting money for no reason on bogus testing. I didnt respond well to the stims, not many follicles BUT as he says, only need that 1! but also everyone is different. He completes, scanning, bloods, retrieval & implant himself rather than it being nurse led. He is on watsapp available all the time, responds quickly too. This is what I prefer, being in touch with the main consultant rather than different drs & nurses. You really pay for the best service, the clinic is so homely too. My & my husband have so far have only good things to say, plus its like half the price, if not more less as £1 = 18TL in turkey now :)

Hi there OP, the clinic I was supposed to go to is in North Cyprus -canceled my traveling atm cause of covid-. If you're so close, I would recommend you talk with them, I loved the atmosphere and how they made me feel nice and welcome even via Zoom.

For prices, they are really cheap compared to Spain ( where I live), and they gave me prices in euros which helped me to compare them.

Nas31 · 22/12/2021 17:19

Mine was €1800

Natw22 · 28/12/2021 22:23

@IsabelHerna thank you so much, sorry for the delay, can you give me the details of your clinics?
I am UK based, I am actually looking at North Cyprus too! Xx

@Nas31 Hi! I was wondering how did it go after your last transfer in Jinepol? I can totally understand if you don't wanna share it before the first trimester ☺️🤞 If so please just ignore my message

Nas31 · 04/02/2022 00:12

It failed.

Cayandsimit · 04/02/2022 07:50

@Nas31 I am so sorry. I don't know what to say... I wish I wouldn't have asked.

Nas31 · 04/02/2022 08:18

Its ok xx

Natw22 · 05/02/2022 23:57

So sorry @Nas31 here if you need to chat x

@Natw22 so heartbroken. I dont think it will ever happen for me.

Natw22 · 07/02/2022 13:53

@Nas31 I know the feeling after 3 failed IVF cycles in the past 12 months and over 2 years TTC before then without a single positive test. It's so hard and I'm so sorry this happened to you. I won't tell you 'never give up, keep having faith' because I know what it's like to feel how you are feeling. Look after yourself and give yourself give before you decide what the next right steps are for you.
If you can get a review with your consultant to see if they have any ideas why it failed that might be helpful if you decide on more rounds in future xx

@Natw22 this may be too personal but do you know why yours failed? Have you been paying privately? I have been trying 7 years. With me embryo not good & morphology of the sperm & I did a 3 day fresh transfer. Only 1 embryo made it out of 8. Im a low responder too.

Natw22 · 07/02/2022 15:56

Yes we had issues with sperm and embryo quality, sent my a PM and more than happy to answer any questions x

OP posts:
Cayandsimit · 07/02/2022 21:12

@nas31 my DH have 1% morphology. I later found out I have sub-clinical thyroid issues, high prolactin, elevated NK and coagulation issues. We had some add-ons this round which significantly increased the fertilization rate and got blastocysts to freeze for the first time. If this FET works, I will let you know so maybe you can look into those add-ons?
There was a thread specifically about male factor + unexplained infertility. If I can find it again, I can tag you if you want. I saw many people in that thread got pregnant after several failed cycles and everyone shared some tips and tests which might be helpful.

Natw22 · 07/02/2022 21:41

@Cayandsimit please could you send me details too?x

OP posts:
Cayandsimit · 07/02/2022 22:42

@natw22 sure. Here is the link to the thread:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/infertility/4410424-IVF-and-unexplained-infertility?pg=2

If the link doesn't work, please search for "IVF and unexplained infertility" as a thread title. I also wrote in detail what we have done differently this time. OP also shared his experienced. I hope it helps 💞

Cayandsimit · 07/02/2022 22:45

His experience*
