Hi folks
Can anyone shed any light here for me by any chance. I had a sperm aspiration undertaken this week and received my report back yesterday. I’ve asked for it explaining in a manner I can understand but so far I’ve not had a response. I’m going out of my mind not knowing.
Partner and I were hoping to go for ivf
My results read as
Right testes puncture 2 times
Result: positive 1-2 immotil each field
Left testes puncture 3 times
Result positive 0-1 motil 1-2 immotil each field.
Result morphology 0%

Hi @Anonymousguy I didn't want to read and run, your test results look similar to my partners sperm count his morphology was 1% which in basic terms meant low sperm count. We asked what this meant so we could understand and our consultant explained upon examination, some sperm had 1 tail and swam accordingly, others appeared to have two tails, no tails, swam round in circles and then some weren't moving at all. We ended up doing ICSI IVF which is where they selected the best looking sperm from his sample and injected it directly into my egg (ivf is where they place the egg in the dish and wait for a sperm to penetrate the egg with no interference). On a positive note, because it can sound so doom and gloom, we have a beautiful little boy from a second round of ICSI. Wishing you and your partner the best of luck x

@Anonymousguy I'm sure it will! Keep the faith! I have severe endometriosis and needed both tubes removing sadly before we could go ahead. We were told we had almost a nil chance of conceiving given both our issues but sometimes there's just that little bit of hope we need to keep hold of. Sending you lots of positivity and a big virtual hug to you and your partner because it's required! X
