Accupuncture during IVF

Hi everyone, just wanted to ask, if you did accupuncture during IVF, how often and when did you have sessions? My accupuncturist advised weekly before egg collection, then one on collection day, one session one day before ET and one after ET.
It is advised to do accupuncture twice weekly during stims in "It starts with the Egg", so I am confused and wanted to ask about your experiences with it. Thank you!

The only evidence for acupuncture having any impact is pre and post transfer. But honestly I don’t think it makes any difference. Quality of lining , quality of embryo etc will be the determining factor.

1st transfer : acupuncture weekly for 3 months pre transfer and pre and post transfer - negative

2nd transfer: acupuncture pre and post transfer only - negative

3rd transfer : acupuncture pre and post transfer only - positive.

I had 3 rounds go very badly with lots of regular acupuncture.

For my successful transfer I did no acupuncture at all. It’s only worth doing if you find it particularly relaxing as it won’t change the outcome.

1st ICSI cycle no acupuncture, BFP. Miscarried at 10.5 weeks.

2nd cycle abandoned as I didn't respond to the drugs.

3rd cycle due to start mid January, and I am having acupuncture every week for the 3 months leading up to that. No idea if it will make any difference but it's probably going to be my last cycle. The only 2 personal friends I know who have had IVF both had acupuncture and both got pregnant. Decided it's worth a shot.

I did it weekly during stimms then before and after transfer. Not sure if it helped but both times habd been successful so far.

@sviri I think it works for some not others. I only did acupuncture on this cycle. My 2 previous FETs my lining was ready on CD15 transferred a week later and my 2nd my lining was ready at CD26 transferred 5 days later. This cycle my lining was ready CD10 and I'm transferring on Wednesday. Now I can't say if it was the acupuncture as I don't find it relaxing at all but something worked x
