Cancelled IVF: what happens to follicles

Hello,

I had a cancelled round of IVF before egg collection, due to poor response (only 1 follicle). This was in October. I usually have really long cycles of upto 82 days. I was expecting to have a period though, as assumed I would have ovulated with the one follicle. So just wondering what happens to follicles in cancelled IVF. If there is no trigger shot do they just disappear?

Thank you

Yes that's my understanding.. you'd just ovulate as normal...

If you want to get pregnant You can still have sex as normal and hopefully get that egg fertilised by the sperm.

Hi. I had a cancelled cycle in September. I was on the flare protocol so had a prostap injection before stims. I therefore didn't ovulate and the 2 tiny follicles just disappeared. I didn't ovulate until this month and have only just had a period. It really depends on your protocol though. I'm sorry your cycle was cancelled, it sucks, I know.

I think yes, you just go back to normal ovulation. I would message or call the clinic tbh.
