Hi, so, my me and my mrs are on our third try of ivf following a positive which ended up being ectopic & a chemical pregnancy. She is currently 3 days away from test date and is taking both progesterone pessaries & injections. However, today, she started to bleed quite a bit & passed a clot about the size of a 50p, thinking it was her period she called the hospital, who told her to come in. Alls they seemed to want to do is a urine test which really confused me because shes not at her test day nor is it her first wee of the day, but anyway that teat came back negative. Thinking it was her period and the test coming back negative, we accepted it had failed, however, when we came home, her bleeding pretty much stopped after a few hours and now is tiny amounts of spotting to the point you can barley see them. So we are majorly confused! Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you!

Sorry you're going through this confusion, it isn't nice at all!
Not really any advice as such but on my first failed fet I bled and passed quite a few clots all in the space of a few hours until it stopped to pretty much nothing. When was the transfer ?

Also have you told the clinic ? They will still want you to test on official test day and continue all drugs until then regardless

I am sorry you're having all these confusing symptoms. I would say call the clinic and have them examine your wife so you know what's going on.

This is so confusing! Did you manage to get a hold of the clinic?

I’m currently in my 2WW of my second IVF cycle. I have 6 days till test day. This time I feel a lot calmer than the first as I’ve already experienced the disappointment and know how that feels. I haven’t told family this time as don’t want the pressure and questions added to it just incase it’s not successful

I have no symptoms this time compared to last time where I was tired, sore breasts, bloated and urinating regularly which made me think it would be positive. My protocol changed this time round to adding nightly progesterone injections which is the hardest part as stomach very sore.

This is my last egg so would have to start all over again which is hard as 42 in January. Will my eggs be good quality and can we survive the heartache. It’s very confusing time as you don’t know where you future is at the moment.

Praying for the best news 🤞🤞
