As the title says, we are 9 days post a 5 day FET (our first FET but third transfer) and have been testing since Day 4 (we got our BFP at this point last time on our second transfer but unfortunately ended in a miscarriage). I am trying to be realistic and I really can't see that anything is going to change from this point, is it a reasonable time to accept defeat and stop my medication? Does anyone else have a "cut off" that they tend to go by or is there anything different I should should aware of for a FET?

@HogsmeadeJ I'd always say stay on the meds until the clinic tells you officially to come off them as you never know, though I'd say if you're using FRER its not looking positive I'm afraid. Best of luck with next steps Flowers

@2mumlife thank you so much for the reply - really appreciate it! Yes been using FRERs (far too many according to my bank account!!) so I do feel like there is little to no chance of it becoming a BFP now. I just hate being in limbo, would rather know it definitely hasn't worked so that we can move on. Thanks for your kind words Smile

@HogsmeadeJ I was still picking up a positive on FRER during my chemical pregnancy when my blood hcg was only 5. I understand just wanting to know - the limbo is awful isn't it?

I'm so sorry @HogsmeadeJ Flowers I believe frozen embryos do take slightly longer on average to implant than fresh, but the difference isn't huge and I would expect a positive by now. I would keep taking the meds until otd in your shoes though.

For me 5dp5dt was always my cut off for a viable pregnancy - 9dp5dt is classed as 14 DPO so I'd expect a BFP on a FRER by now sorry OP x

@2mumlife that's interesting how low the HCG was and the FRER was still picking that up- really confirms to me that nothing at this stage probably does mean that it's over. So sorry about your chemical pregnancy Flowers

@Holskey thank you, I agree, I really think something would have come up by now but will continue my meds at least for a couple more days.

@tiggerwhocamefortea thank you - glad it's not just me who has cut offs in their mind. I really think it's game over and its actually reassuring to hear that others probably think the same.

@HogsmeadeJ Thank you. I've sworn I'll never early test and use FRER again after the chemical pregnancy. I picked up on it at 6dp5dt, spent every day panicking until OTD as it wasn't getting darker. My clinic do blood/beta hcg as standard, so I went in for that at 10dp (I think?) I started crying on the nurse because I knew it wasn't right. They confirmed blood hcg was only 25 so non-viable, had a repeat blood few days later which was the hcg at 5. Still having a line of FRER gave me such a false sense of hope.

Hope is such a precious thing in this whole process. Hope you get your healthy pregnancy soon
