I am 37, due to start 4th cycle with ABC / Create. Once I am 38, which is in March, I won't be able to have further treatment with ABC IVF as their cut off age

Hi there
My view would be that I wouldn't really want to wait and would want to proceed but you have to do what is going to make you both happiest. It's a stressful time as it is so have to allow ourselves some time for r&r too and that may be having a few drinks for your husband. I think as long as it's not heavy drinking then I wonder what difference it really does make (no medical specialist though!) so wouldn't then wait any further.
I usually feel better when I'm taking positive steps and taking action with treatment rather than the waiting bit!

Best of luck Flowers

I would do it, we both gave up alcohol for our successful cycle. I don’t think having a boozy Christmas will help his sperm. You’ll be staring at him with resentment every glass he pours ! I would anyway Grin
Having said that, if it’s going to be stressful with someone in the house etc well it’s not great being stressed doing it either so you need to weigh that up too

Hi OP, we had this conundrum last week- we originally told ABC that we wanted to start with my cycle next week, and then realised that during the month DH had two stag dos, and two work events which would have been very difficult not to drink at, it was going to be an unusually boozy month. We decided that we would wait until January, but I have to stay that I am worried that it won't make for a relaxing Christmas!
If it weren't for these events I would have definitely gone ahead in November/ December as work and everything quietens down.
