I am 37, due to start 4th cycle with ABC / Create. Once I am 38, which is in March, I won't be able to have further treatment with ABC IVF as their cut off age <=37. Well that's if i need it. I had my 1st cycle in 2019 resulted in DS born in July 2020. 2nd Cycle in March I was over stimulated. 3rd Cycle (FET) in August resulted in chemical pregnancy. I feel I am ready for next cycle and I really want a sibling for our DS. I have told my IVF clinic that I want to start my next cycle in December. My period is about 2 weeks away. DH thinks it's to soon to have the treatment as it's close to Christmas, especially since we've been invited to lots of parties. Plus his best friend is visiting from Australia and staying with us for a few days. DH is a Scotch Whiskey fan and doesn't like the idea of reducing his consumption during the festive period. My thoughts are that it's better to do it during December because I will be off during the school holidays and I can relax once the transfer is done. Also DH can continue to drink as he wishes once the egg collection is complete. Plus if he drinks alot during December then surely 'Dry January' won't be enough and he would need to detox for longer. The one issue for me is coming up with excuses for not drinking and then everyone speculates that I am pregnant already Any advice or opinions on this matter is greatly appreciated. Would you start a cycle in December? Or is it best to do it in January?
