IVF sun London - How to Choose

Hey!

Our background - TTC for 1 Year 7 months. In that time - 1 MMC at 9 weeks (May 2020), 1 MC at 6 weeks (Nov 2020) and then an ectopic at 7 weeks (May 2021) which resulted in my right tube being removed. I am 32, DH also 32.

I have a diagnosed blood disorder so will be on aspirin for any future pregnancies (and was for my ectopic).

We have been trying for 5 cycles post ectopic with no joy and are struggling with slightly irregular cycles (somewhere between 29-37 days)

I have a FSH of 8.4 and AMH of 13.5 and have had a Hycosy to show my remaining tube is clear.

We are considering IVF as we are so far down the line and are just struggling with everything. Keen to get some embryos in the bank as if it turns out we can ever have children, we would like to ideally have 2 - I am conscious that my AMH could be higher than it is.

We want to look into paying for IVF privately (with embryo testing) or maybe one round of IUI,

Does anyone know how you start with deciding what clinic to go with?

Thank you in advance!

X

Hi op this website is good , it’s the governing body so impartial. Somewhere in the site you can put your stats in and see how clinics perform for your age etc

I went with ARGC as they had a good reputation although expensive. Also looked at CRGH

HFEA data gives you a like for like comparison. The most interesting stats was the pregnancy rate per embryo transferred. However I think this indicator measures the success of transfers, rather than stimulation/embryo creation.

I read/heard good things about crgh (higher than average stats, good customer service) and went with them for my privately funded cycle. However, my cycle there was disappointing: we only received two mature eggs, of which only one fertilised. This compares to 10 mature eggs in my previous protocol at another clinic. Half of which fertilised.

I would say as long as the stats are consistent with average and not abnormally low, it's the convenience of a clinic that I will be choosing next time.
