Cycle length

I'm usually really regular, 25-26 days. This cycle My period has come on 23 days. Usually I ovulate CD 13 and then have a 13 day Luteal phase. This time my luteal phase was only 10 days.
I was already concerned at only 29 that my cycle was on the short side, I have tracked it for 7 months and it has never been this short. This has me now very worried. I have read many articles that a short cycle is a sign your ovarian reserve is diminished. My partner and I are planned to start to try for a baby early next year, should I be worried that this very short cycle is a sign of something? Is it normal to have the odd really short cycle / luteal phase?

Any help would be much appreciated as you can tell I'm really worried, having a family is so important to me and i feel at 29 I could have left it too long? I know there are test you can do for AMH ect but I have also been told that these can not always determine if you can have a baby naturally ( which I hope to)

One cycle that is 3 days shorter than usually is nothing to worry about.

And 29 years of age is not leaving it too late.

You are right that some people have a diminished ovarian reserve, but there's nothing to suggest that you would.

If you're worried you could book in for a fertility MOT, most clinics will do a his and her assessment for about £500. It may put your mind at ease.

But at this point, since you haven't started trying to conceive yet, I think you're worrying unnecessarily.

@Gardenlady543

Thank you for your reply, I was aware that some cycles could be shorter than others. The fact mine is already so very short worries me, I have thought about having a fertility MOT but have chosen to try before I do this. I guess I read a lot about ovarian reserve being diminished if you have a short cycle, that's why I panicked being a mom is something that is very important to me.

@Butterfliess I wouldn't describe a 25-26 day cycle as "very short" I'd say it's normal and a consistent luteal phase of 13 days is also normal.

@Gardenlady543

What about the fact my cycle has only been 23 days this month and luteal phase of only 10. That's quite a Jump from my normal, is this concerning ?

Heads up @Butterfliess you're in an infertility forum complaining that you're worried you might be infertile with no evidence that you would be and before you've started trying to conceive... read the room.

@heyholetsgooo

I did not post to cause any upset or trouble for others, that was never my intention and I'm sorry if I have done so.
Yes your right you may feel I have no evidence to say I am infertile other than reading online.
I simply posted as I have concerns and felt I could possibly get some advice, support and help from others in my situation.
Again im sorry if I have upset anyone.

@Butterfliess I think you should take @Gardenlady543's advice and get a fertility MOT.

You've posted this here before and I tried to reassure you that I had plenty of eggs aged 36 despite having had a 26 day cycle since I was 12. I've also gotten pregnant (via embryo transfer) with a 13 day luteal phase. I suggested then that you post elsewhere as everyone here has fertility struggles (so not the best place to find people with 26 day cycles who got pregnant naturally). You did post elsewhere and plenty of people said they had no issues despite a 26 day or shorter cycle.

This is obviously a huge concern for you and nobody has yet been able to reassure you. If I'm honest, you don't seem to be thinking rationally about it so perhaps you should have some tests to put your mind at ease.

Your cycle length is not an issue, it does not indicate low egg reserves, and it is normal for cycles to be a few days shorter/longer on occasion and still be considered regular.
