Hi, looking for some advice. I have my first fertility appointment in a weeks time and just found out I’m pregnant. This is the 5th time, can’t seem to get passed 6 weeks. Do I still go? I’ve already had scan/blood tests etc. Partner has taken in his pot pf sperm. I’m at a loss as to what to do…

I appreciate any advice x

Yes, I would still go! It is always good to touch base with them as, god forbid, anything went wrong, you are still on their radar. They may well be happy to monitor you now incase they need any extra testing completed.

I hope this is your sticky bean FX!

Congrats, hope this is the lucky one. Definitely still go, if you’ve not had progesterone support before, like pessaries, maybe they could prescribe those to help you get further along and support your lining.

Thank you both for your responses. I don’t seem to have a problem conceiving, but keeping it going. I do tend to spot quite a few days before my period which I’ve come to think of being a progesterone problem. 3 times I’ve spotted/bled and still been pregnant, including this time which means my hopes are not high. I think I will call doc tomorrow and ask for the progesterone sooner rather than wait til the week after as it may be too late by then. Will a doctor administer this or does it have to be the fertility department do you know? X

Some GPs will, but it seems to vary a lot and they often refer you back to the clinic. Try both, if the clinic cannot see you sooner, then ask GP. If you tell your clinic about your losses at 6 weeks, they might see you sooner.

Definitely get progesterone ASAP. Can you ring your clinic rather than wait and see what other support they can provide? I was on aspirin etc straight after bfp. Good luck

Following as I have had 3 miscarriages now and can't get past the 6 week mark either. Is it a recurrent miscarriage investigation? I agree to get progesterone asap.
All the very best with everything 😊 x

You should be referred by your GP to recurrent mc clinic after 3 mcs. @LovesFood1987

Yes we've had a full work up 🙂 we know the cause but it's not good news, basically premature ovarian insufficiency... I was 27 when we started having children and were desperate for 2 kids, I'm 31 now and it seems I only have crap eggs left that form non-viable pregnancies 😢 part of me wishes I didn't know but part of me is relieved to have an answer 😢

I have low amh and only 3 follicles and 41 and am pregnant. I had a few mcs. You are still young so the eggs you have will be young eggs compared to mine. Don’t give up hope.
Look at immunes as well as another check
