Natural FET - what if didn’t ovulate?

Hi I’m just about to do my transfer in a couple of days. I had a positive ovulation test last week and have just started progesterone. I asked the nurse if I’ll definitely ovulate if I had a positive opk and she said no. Now I’m thinking, what if I didn’t actually ovulate? Will it mean the FET won’t work? Just for info, I only got a day 1 & 10 scan. They won’t do anymore scans

I think they can see the corpus luteum cyst on the scan when you go for transfer, can't they? I'm only guessing. I had a natural FET last Monday and all I thought to ask was "does everything look as it should?"

It takes some confidence in your cycles to do it this way. I had no scans whatsoever before the transfer and I'm not taking progesterone either so a lot of faith placed in my body's ability!

Is this your first FET?

Yes it’s my first FET.

Oh right thank you so much, I didn’t know that. at my last transfer in 2019 they just put the embryo in blind, no scan or anything but it was a fresh transfer so I’d had the trigger

Best of luck with your FET when do you test? Xx

Like I said, I'm only guessing about what they can see, but I'm sure you did ovulate if you have regular cycles and your hormones are right.

They put the embryo in without ultrasound? I didn't know some clinics did that. My clinic use it to make sure they place the embryo properly and don't jab at anything, so I just assumed everywhere did.

I had a FET 2019 too. Was your 2019 transfer successful?

I tested today and got a decent bfp. Very early days though so just keeping my fingers crossed!

Yes I think I probably did ovulate. My cycles are very regular and I felt ovulation pains. I’m just overthinking.

Yes no ultrasound for me in 2019, I did wonder at the time how do they know it’s gone in! But it did work ive got a beautiful 2 year old 🥰

Ahhhh huge congratulations lovely. That’s wonderful wonderful news. Very happy for you x

I felt ovulation pain this cycle too so I was feeling very confident.

My 2019 FET gave me my 16-month-old. I had wondered if I'd used up all my luck 😂 Really hoping you have the same second time success! Best of luck with the transfer and let me know how it goes 🤞
