£120 a week for 7 vials of lubion is killing me. That's through stork. Is there anywhere we can get it cheaper ??

Asda pharmacy do it for around £56 per box. I’ve found them very helpful

Gardenlady543 · 22/10/2021 08:07

I second getting a private prescription and getting it from Asda.

screamqueen21 · 22/10/2021 08:29

Thank you! Do they include the kit with syringes etc or would that be extra ? Do I need to ask my clinic for a private prescription?

Definitely Asda. I’m on 2 vials a day Confused

Just ask your clinic for a printed prescription and explain what you are doing.

Asda don’t supply needles but you can get them online from Medisave - you want green 21g drawing needles, yellow or brown insulin needles and 2mL syringes.

Thanks for the info. Am I able to get utrogestan and progynova/zumenon from Asda? Also everol 100 patches

I swapped to prontogest which was cheaper abs clinic said they were basically same

Porridgeislife · 22/10/2021 10:05

You can definitely get Progynova and Evorel patches from Asda, they have so for me & they are easy as they’re common HRT. I’d imagine Utrogestan is the same as again it’s common HRT medication.

Porridgeislife · 22/10/2021 10:05

Also ask your consultant to switch you to Estradot patches - they’re 1/3 the size of Evorel and for me, don’t give me eczema.

CurbsideProphet · 22/10/2021 10:56

Just an FYI my nearest Asda (7 miles away) was not able to source Lubion. We ended up having to pay Stork anyway. I agree the cost is crippling. It really makes me cross that Stork can set the price so high.

CurbsideProphet · 22/10/2021 10:57

Oh and Care Fertility charge us £50 for a private prescription, so you have to do your sums in advance.

Hi Lubion people. Off the topic of this thread, has anyone ever forgotten to take Lubion and then remembered like 2 hours later. I just did that, hoping it's not going to mean disaster. Am 6+2 and would be really crap if I've managed to ruin it by forgetting my meds. 😞

Porridgeislife · 03/12/2021 15:05

@whatcangowrong You’ll be absolutely fine this far along. Timing really matters pre transfer and in the 2WW, but as time goes on it’s less of an issue.

whatcangowrong · 04/12/2021 09:42

Thanks @Porridgeislife , I hope you're right! Oh and yes the cost of lubion is crippling especially when you have to continue it to 12 weeks (although that is overall a nice problem to have).
