4th MC - How to cope?

Hey,

I'm in that difficult week of having a miscarriage where my emotions are all over the place. It's my 4th time and this one was especially hard as I've had investigations/ results and treatment.

Are there any words of wisdom on how to cope and eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel again please? Feeling extremely low and considered phoning the Samaritans a few times. Thanks xx

I just want to bump this (no personal experience). I'm really sorry Flowers

I am so sorry ❤️ I have had recurrent losses (5) and it is so difficult. Especially when you have a cause and a treatment plan, it's a real shock.

Reach out to the Samaritan's if you're feeling very low, sometimes I find it helpful to talk to people who aren't close to me. I've found joining threads on here and Facebook for recurrent losses also helpful, although it can get a bit overwhelming at times, especially when others are pregnant again, so I do have to limit myself.

I have had some baby loss counselling via Petals and that did help me, but I have had some dark periods since and I'm under a maternal wellbeing service now, despite not having a baby or being pregnant.

Are you being supported by a recurrent miscarriage clinic?

Focus on what you need at the moment, are you at work? I took time off after miscarriage and phased back in. But I tried to get fresh air everyday, watching familiar TV programmes (it helps with my anxiety), more recently I've tried things like cross stitch as I still can't focus to read a book.

Try not to pressure yourself to be OK, you're grieving and in shock ❤️❤️ @Rachae xx

Thank you @Holskey 😊

Thanks so much for your response @VenusStarr and I'm so sorry to hear your story also. I'm under St. Mary's reoccurent miscarriage unit in London. I totally relate to the book reading.. It's become impossible to do this year. I'm glad you've found something as an outlet like cross stitch. I was going to go back to work next week but I decided to call my doctor and get signed off for a further week. It's such a hard period waiting for the sadness to lift a bit... Thank you for your support ❤️ xxx

Hi @Rachae I’m so sorry for your loss. I had 3 mmc and a chemical in a row.
I spent some time on the miscarriage association forums and they also have a telephone support number which I called. I couldn’t get through to the Samaritans the 4 x I called them! I also started an AD through my GP- very low dose.
As well as st Mary’s look into immune tests and treatment from Gorgy or Shehata . I really hope you get your rainbow soon x
