I had my first scan done yesterday afternoon and this evening feel a bit bloated, discomfort and abdominal cramps and had some clear discharge. Is this normal?

How was the scan? You've had a couple of threads about your anxiety; does everything look okay?

And yes, I would say I sometimes feel like that if they've poked around a lot! And some of that cramping and bloating could be pregnancy related. If it's not bad pain then I would say it's okay.

Hi @Holskey Scan went well, everything looked good 🙏🏻👍🏻

Thanks for your advice. Pregnancy symptoms are so strange, some days I’m so sick and bloated for 4-5 days in a row and then the symptoms suddenly disappears and I don’t even feel pregnant and that makes me worried.

I'm so glad your scan went well!

I know how it is, and you've probably got months of wondering what this and that means as your body goes through lots of changes. I was so nervous about everything. Before your scan, you were convinced something was wrong and the scan confirms there wasn't, so I think you have to try to remember that, and try not to let your anxious thoughts take over.

Hi @Holskey Yes I am relieved that scan went well but feeling a bit rough today, 2 days after the scan. Had some pink discharge this morning spoke to the midwife who said it’s normal after a transvaginal scan and nothing to worry about but I am anxious as all my pregnancy symptoms suddenly disappeared after the scan, no nausea or anything anymore just extreme fatigue and tiredness.

I can imagine seeing pink is very worrying, but I think you have to listen to your midwife. Pink discharge isn't what a miscarriage looks like. Also, your symptoms won't stay exactly the same throughout. Even if the scan could possibly have caused a problem (which it didn't!) your symptoms wouldn't just disappear immediately like that because of it. Symptoms come and go, and sometimes they just go and don't come back.

Perhaps you should ask your clinic about counselling. It's normal to be worried, I think especially after fertility treatment, but you seem very anxious and always looking for signs that something is wrong.
