Kings Fertility - is it worth self-funding to save time?

We've been TTC for 2 years and have had one MMC so far. I'm nearly 37 and beginning to panic about how long we've got left, and I'm wondering if it's worth self-funding a fertility MOT at Kings to check whether I need to panic or whether I've got a bit longer.

My GP has referred me for my day 21 and day 3 blood tests (not had the results yet but I'm fairly sure I am ovulating based on tests and having got pregnant before) but my BMI is around 33 (down from over 40 so heading in the right direction...) so I don't know if she'd be able to refer me any further until I lose more weight? Even then I don't know what the timelines are for treatment on the NHS etc?

Any advice welcome! I've been in denial about needing any intervention until now, although my DH had a semen analysis approx 16 months ago and it was all good so unless that's changed drastically we should be find in that area, so to speak...

It very much depends on your specific area - some have an age cut off of 36 for others it's 40, some don't fund at all, some have a BMI limit of 30 x
