Is two days enough time for my follicle to grow??? New to this .....

First round of letrozole with timed intercourse

RHS ovary scan 3 days ago 12mm
RHS ovary scan today 12mm

LHS ovary scan 3 days ago 10mm
LHS ovary scan today 14mm

I ovulate in TWO days - is it possible that my follicle will grow big enough to release an egg?

I ovulate on CD20
Today is CD18

Unless you do a trigger shot then there is no way of saying for certain what your ovulation day will be?

I did 5 rounds of IVF and generally my follicles grew on average 2mm per day and anything 14mm and bigger on day of trigger - so 36 hours before "ovulation" yielded a mature egg so yes definitely still potential in your larger follicle

My cycles are like clockwork and I use clear blue adv digi OPK. I always always have 3 days high fertility then peak - I'm on my 3rd day of high fertility so expecting peak tomorrow! I guess always a chance it could be off this month or that they're wrong anyway - but at the scan today was so upset that follicle was only 14mm - didn't have time to ask the nurse much she just said to dtd tomorrow and Sunday. So you think there's a chance it will grow enough by Sunday?

you're regular until you're not. If your body releases the eggs without a trigger shot then they'll most likely be ready. Your body wouldn't ovulate by itself otherwise. Mature follicles release oestrogen which tells LH to surge which causes the eggs to reach maturation and then you ovulate. Immature follicles don't release enough oestrogen to cause an LH surge.

Did you ovulate?

@kennetrose thanks for your reply, and your reply on my other post! Really interesting - will watch it when I finish work, thank you!!

I did end up having a positive OPK (static smiley clear blue) on CD20 - so I suspect I ovulated yesterday, CD21. I tell you what, I've NEVER had copious amounts of EWCM like I did on the weekend - I wonder if letrozole caused that too!
