Genetic counselling through Cooper Genomics?

I have 3 high level mosaic embryos and was informed I’d need genetic counselling before clinic would agree transfer. I haven’t even got as far as thinking about transferring yet, as I’ve had euploid embryos to transfer first, but I need to make my mind up on whether I pay for another years storage.

My question is, did your clinic provide genetic count for free? Im with Create and have been told I’ll need to pay. Don’t know how much yet, I’m waiting for Cooper to get in touch.

Thank you

I was with Create and declined the counselling - they didn't insist I have it though but mine was a low level mosaic monosomy 11 and I signed a disclaimer

Have they definitely said they'll transfer I know people at create have had conflicting reports from their doctors - some have been told they can't have mosaics transferred at all

@tiggerwhocamefortea Thanks for the info. One Dr i mentioned it to said she wouldn't advise transfer. I asked the lab manager his opinion and he was surprisingly positive about it, saying the abnormal cells are in the placenta, so effect on fetus unknown...but that's the whole point of PGS to rule out these things! I was hoping one of the embryologists could advise me further, without needing to pay for extra counselling.

I will check what the official clinic policy is on transfer, otherwise i'll be wasting more money. I've found a couple of stories online of low level mosaic transfers with Create, but nothing else.

I think there is a bit of disagreement within Create itself - out of the same clinic my doctor was sceptical about PGS so agreed to transfer but his colleague refused a transfer for someone I know of a low level mosaic saying create had a policy of not transferring - it just so happened we knew each other so she knew they did do it

I've also heard the lab managers telling patients different things than the doctors too
