Long Protocol- FET

I started my injections for my long protocol (buserelin) on Wednesday 23rd.

Looking for a cycle buddy around the same time or just someone who has been through a long cycle FET who I can ask a few questions to?

I've just done a long cycle FET and happy to answer any questions? It has so far been successful, currently 8 weeks pregnant.

I did long cycle, got a positive, waiting for 7week scan on Thursday.
The busereline was the easiest of the injections for me, shorter and thinner needles.
The next stage of final f and menapur were longer needles and one, I can't remember which, was definitely thicker. But it was good to get a gradually transition into the harder ones with busereline first.

Try holding an ice pack on your belly while you get the injection ready, I would lean up against the counter with ice pack between me and counter, then get everything ready so belly was fairly numb ready to inject. When you have to do 3 injections this really helps. Plus a really good pinch of belly fat, quite firm, then the needle goes in easier and virtually pain free.
The ice also helped with the busereline itching after.

Unfortunately these replies didn't notify me! I took my 12th buserelin today and I'm going to attend my first acupuncture session. ( I have had it before but not for IVF purposes).
My biggest thing at the moment is that I've been 'spotting' since Monday but it isn't turning into a full period and I'm confused! Got my baseline scan on Wednesday and really hoped to have had a proper bleed by then. How long were you waiting for your bleed? Xx

I had some spotting for a few days before the bleeding got heavier. Good luck with your scan.

Hi all I started buserelin recently only been a few days. My clinic has stopped using buserelin they only use oestrogen and progesterone. I tried without buserelin few months ago but it was a BFN I’ve only got 1 embryo left. Has anyone got day 6 embryos. I’ve had a successful fet few years ago which resulted in my lo need a sibling for my lo. Hope everyone’s well and baby dust to all x

Congratulations!!! So happy for you I’m on day 7 of buserelin did you have to have a bleed on whilst on buserelin? And what day of the cycle did you go for bloods?

Did you know what grade ur embryo was which clinic are you with?

I've had two grade BB embryos implant - one is my DC1, and the other is hopefully DC2 (9 weeks pregnant). The first was a day 5 blast, the second a day 6.

Oh my 1 child was from a day 5 embryo I’ve already had a unsuccessful day 6 transfer so I’m going through anxiety. I don’t want to do another fresh cycle as it will cost me

Did you have to wait for a bleed whilst on buserelin? I’ve Stil not bled of got bloods next week

Yes, I had a bleed on buserelin before my baseline scan.

Ok I’ve got bloods on Tuesday I’ve still not had a bleed. I’ve not started the oestrogen and progesterone yet
