Private recurrent miscarriage investigations

After the devastation and heartbreak of 3 miscarriages I can't go on anymore without having some proper answers 😢

NHS and Tommy's waiting lists are huge thanks to covid.

Has anyone gone private and mind giving me a rough idea of cost?

TIA.

I had some private consultations with a specialist in London and was charged £200 per appointment. Had some blood tests on top but can’t remember costs, sorry I know that’s not very helpful! It wasn’t very useful for me (I didn’t find out anything that helped) although I guess it ruled a few things out.

Sorry for your losses OP.

I'm under Dr Shehata at the CRP Clinic in Surrey, the initial tests were about £2-3k and he found a reason. Tommy's told us to keep trying and I had 2 further losses under their care with no explanation from them. My treatment has been quite expensive on top of that as I need preconception medication as well but we ttc naturally but have not been able to conceive since, so moved onto ivf now.

I made an extensive research on IVF clinics in Spain, Italy, Greece and Cyprus mostly, so I don't have any suggestions for UK. But I would recommend checking the global clinic rating org, you can search the best clinics in your area and check costs, websites, and compare them.
It really helped me organize what I am looking for in a clinic, and create my own system on choosing and evaluate them. Yes okay I know, I overdid on research, but now I feel ready to take the next step.

Hi , I also had three losses and sympathise massively. It’s soul destroying.
I tried ivf to find pgs normal eggs (assumed losses were age related)
I actually fell pregnant when ivf was converted to iui last minute so wasn’t pgs tested. I then went to de Gorgy for immunes support ( I had high killer cells and body was attacking embryos) it was expensive , all the tests and then treatment - probably 10 k so far , I’m just starting third trimester.
It’s best to exclude things like clotting disorders etc first. Google a list of tests to do or you can find on mumsnet. Zita west do a lot of the tests. I got most covered through insurance , otherwise they would be about £500. Try to get some through your gp
Gorgy also does internal checks to see if women is healthy etc but I didn’t have them.
Pm me if you need anything
