Cyclogest and frequent bowel movements

Good evening

I’ve been taking cyclogest (rectally) for just over 2 weeks and since last week started going to the toilet 3-5 times a day (and a lot comes out every time sorry for the details). My stomach feels hard and tender but I was told this is normal. I never used to go toilet more than once a day and now it’s literally every time I eat I have to go toilet 1-2 hours after.

Anyone else had these symptoms? Will it get better over time or can I do anything to prevent going toilet so often?

@G1984

Progesterone causes constipation, you might be constipated (which would explain the abdominal cramps) and having overflow diarrhea. Of course it might be unrelated and you might have a dodgy stomach.

I was told by my IVF clinic that abdominal cramps and diarrhea is normal when you’re on cyclogest.
In the last couple of days I’ve been to the toilet 5 times a day, shall I be worried?

@G1984 I had this with cyclogest. I used cyclogest rectally, don't know if it might have been better vaginally. Subsequent round I was on Utrogestan instead which needs to be taken vaginally, and I didn't have any of the same issues I had with cyclogest.
