Blocked tubes IVF needed

Hi,

I was hoping i could get some positive stories. After 3 years of ttc and going back and fourth on the nhs to figure out the issue, i finally discovered my right tube is blocked and got bad scarring. 2 weeks after this i had an ectopic pregnancy which ruptured and caused internal bleeding. I had my left tube removed. I've been told my right tube will need to be clipped before moving onto IVF but I won't get an appointment until end of November to even discuss the surgery. Does anyone have any experience in going private for a laparoscopy?
I'm desperate to start the process and it's been mentally draining.

Any advice welcome!

@jhavo sorry to hear about the blocked tubes. I had the same with mine they had fluid in I believe it's called hydrosalpinx. They tried to drain the fluid but one they couldn't access & one they did best they could & sent me on my way then the pains started again & it all came back the fluid & they are blocked & having scaring so they said before I could have IVF they would need to both be removed as the fluid could leak & damage the embryo. Unfortunately Covid then hit so I did have to wait 15 months on the NHS to get it done which I'm grateful for but my consultant works private too so they got me in to the Nuffield to have it done & they were great even tho it was NHS really. I have been ttc for 6 years. I was finally referred for IVF & had a cycle in August which unfortunately failed but are waiting to hear when we can have another cycle.

Thank you for sharing, sorry you hear your first circle didn't work. Fingers crossed for the next! yes sounds exactly like what i have. Fluid and scarring in my tubes and I've been told i need to have my tube clipped before i can even start IVF.
Obviously because of covid the back log is crazy but it's so frustrating, hence the reason why I'm thinking of going private. I keep chasing the hospital but they are impossible to get hold of. Just feels soul destroying at the minute!

@jhavo thank you 🤞🤞. I know it's so long I had to wait 15 months for mine was told 7 months before Covid hit I needed it. I was the same about private but when I called up Nuffield health to ask how much (for the same consultant) I was told between 6-7K! I thought about the but then thought hang on that can be towards IVF!
